Major road networks connect the Mid Murray region to Adelaide, Riverland, Barossa Valley, Northern Adelaide, Murray Bridge and the eastern states.  Major services are located in Mannum and the larger townships. A Gas powered peaking station has been established in Mid Murray with major transmission lines supporting industrial development. Water is drawn predominantly from the River Murray with current limitations on irrigation entitlements.
