Why the Murraylands - Infrastructure
The Murraylands region is serviced by an extensive and well maintained network of major roads connecting the eastern, south-eastern and northern areas of regional Australia. Infrastructure include major transmission lines connecting Adelaide with the South-east and servicing much of the region; reticulated River Murray water supplies in major towns; extensive underground water supplies in the Mallee Prescribed Wells Areas; natural gas pipelines into Rural City of Murray Bridge, Mid Murray and Coorong Council areas; broadband access and mobile phone coverage throughout most of the region.
Rural City of Murray Bridge is the major administrative centre with Local Government, Health, Education, Aged Care, Sporting, Recreation and Tourism facilities. Larger towns throughout the region are similarly serviced by well established community, council and business infrastructure.
