As the largest and most central township, Karoonda provides quality primary and secondary education in a well resourced area school.  School buses collect students from farming areas while some take students as far as Murray Bridge on a daily basis. Post secondary training is provided by TAFE Regional at Murray Bridge while the Murray Mallee Community Education Network (MMCEN) provides community based training at a local level. Other service centres and Regional Training Organisations also provide training in computer, business and recreational subjects in response to local interests and needs.
